Some of NBA 2K22 new features have already been shown off
A significant amount of in-depth information has also yet to be revealed, though more information is expected to be released in August and early September as the release date of NBA 2K22 approaches. New and improved features have only been mentioned briefly in the NBA 2K22 features preview, which was released by the developers in mid-July.
NBA 2K22 will be released on September 10th, but some of the game's new features have already been revealed ahead of time. Here's a look at what will be included in the game. NBA 2K22, the latest installment in the NBA MT, will be released on September 10 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Ahead of the game's release, the developers have provided a few sneak peeks at some of the new features that will be included. So far, here's everything that has been made public.
First and foremost, it's important to note that not every new feature introduced in NBA 2K22 will be available to everyone. Users of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will, in particular, have access to certain elements that will not be available to other NBA 2K22 players. Users of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch will be greeted with more traditional NBA 2K gameplay. Examples include the fact that on most consoles The Neighborhood will stand in for The City, and that MyCAREER's new integration with The City will only be available in the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S editions of the game.
A more in-depth look at these changes will be released alongside NBA 2K22's first gameplay reveal trailer, but the features preview provides a brief overview of a few of them. NBA 2K22 features a completely redesigned shot contest and blocking system on the defensive end. New signature moves and combos are also being introduced to offensive players, and many of these elements have been altered to be more skill-based than in previous games. On-Court Improvements in NBA 2K22 Both offensive and defensive changes are being implemented into the game's on-court gameplay, allowing players to exert greater control over not only how their team scores points but also how they counter moves.
Each and every NBA 2K22 new game feature that has been confirmed so far is a season, such as MyTEAM, MyPLAYER, and events. Seasons are returning to NBA 2K22 and have been significantly expanded to provide players with more NBA 2K22 MT, rewards, and new ways to play.
Seasons in NBA 2K22's MyTEAM and MyCAREER game modes will be available to all players for free, and the game will also introduce a new method of leveling up MyPLAYER characters and earning prizes. Specifics on this feature will not be revealed until the month of August.
MyCAREER, which will be integrated alongside The City into one narrative experience, will be overhauled in NBA 2K22. An all-new version of The City will be coming to NBA 2K22, at least on current-gen consoles, and with it will come an overhaul of MyCAREER.
There are more quests and NPCs, side careers such as hip-hop, and faster online matchmaking, among other things, coming to NBA 2K22's City. It is also expected that players on other consoles will be able to return to The Neighborhood in an updated form. The Neighborhood in NBA 2K22 is set on board a sailing cruise ship, which docks at various points throughout the Season to allow players to participate in various Events. There will be plenty of new content for NBA 2K22 players to enjoy, no matter which console they choose to play on.
